Oct 18, 2003 – Toyota Motor Corporation will exhibit two Lexus concept cars at the 37th Tokyo Motor Show. Toyota established Lexus in North America in 1989 with the brand concept of pursuing perfection in product as well as in sales and service, later expanding into Europe and other regions.
Looking ahead to the August 2005 launch of the Lexus brand in Japan together with a nationwide dealership network, the two Lexus concept cars to be exhibited at this year's Tokyo Motor Show are the LF-S, a next-generation sedan that expresses the Lexus brand's new conception of luxury, and the LF-X, an SUV-sports sedan crossover. Based on the Lexus GS 430 sport sedan, the LF-X was first shown at the 2003 New York Auto Show as the HP-X.
