Package Designer/Engineer

Position Description:
Imagine the thrill of creating new vehicle concepts and bringing them to reality. At Honda R&D Americas, Inc., you'll work closely with Stylists, Modelers and Engineers to do just that. Your responsibilities will consist of arranging vehicle layouts, such as location of basic masses, all critical dimensions and ergonomics, while also helping create various interior and exterior mockups of advanced designs for production proposals.

Position Requirements:
Success requires:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or related field and 2+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of project coordination, procedures and techniques
- Knowledge of automotive mechanisms and a strong understanding of the automotive industry and market trends
- The ability to understand customer needs/preferences in order to create package concepts
- Understanding of automobile feasibility requirements related to design data development
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and presentation skills
- The ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Overtime and travel as required by projects
