We are currently recruiting a Graduate Designer in the Color and Materials, Design Department.
Working within Product Development, the successful candidate will be part of a team of professional designers developing product innovations that are at the forefront of automotive design and technology.

Location
Either of the Jaguar or Land Rover sites in the West Midlands, at either Whitley (Coventry) or Gaydon (Warwickshire)

Qualifications / Experience
We are looking for a qualified Designer with either a Textile, Fashion, Product Design, Interior Design or Industrial Design Degree.

You will be required to demonstrate solutions to specific design projects with creative flair and innovation, and an essential problem solving ability. You will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and passion for all aspects of Design.  Excellent PC and CAD skills are essential.
The C&M Designer will be responsible for the development of several projects simultaneously, ensuring robust and timely submissions with successful presentations for reviews.

Responsible for the development of interior/exterior body and trim colors and the selection and application of materials and textures, translating concepts from 2D to 3D product, appropriate to the Brand.  Sourcing of all decorative materials including innovative ideas, in tune with design trends, fashion and social trends.

Skills in 2D surface pattern design and an affinity to understand the relationship between color and tactility. Possess good 3D spatial evaluation, with a clear understanding of practical engineering and good aesthetic judgement.
