General Motors is looking for four strategic design managers to work under its Buick, Chevrolet, Cadiliac and GMC brands. These opportunities are based at their design studios in Warren, Michigan, US.

This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced design manager to help shape the future of a global brand.

Reporting to either Executive Director Mark Adams (Cadillac and Buick) or Executive Director Ken Parkinson (Chevrolet and GMC), you will direct, develop and coordinate the visual design strategies for that given brand. 

Work involves the analysis, development and coordination of information while the mode of operation consists of task assessment, planning and rapid execution. You will also provide support for the world-class quality execution of innovative brand exterior and interior production programs and concepts and work to integrate customer focused needs and brand differentiation into all aesthetic proposals. 

You should be able to give technical leadership and aesthetic/creative direction to design team members and exercise a high level of independent judgment involving considerable creativity and perception to develop design proposals. 

The strategic design manager should stay abreast of shifting design trends. The nature of your position means that you will be exposed to sensitive information along with other senior leaders.
