Lead BIW Structures Engineer
Our client, a leading Chinese OEM, is looking for a very experienced BIW structures engineer to lead a team of engineers on a new project based close to Shanghai. The candidate will have strong experience in BIW structures from a very early stage in the programme. He will be responsible for leading the team to develop a world competitive body structure meeting all of the relevant targets and legislations. Experience of Catia V5 will be an advantage but not a must. A proven track record on leading teams will also be a requirement. Previous China working experience will also be an advantage.
Length of contract: 1 to 3 years.

Computer Generated Imaging Trainer
Shanghai
The Computer Generated Imaging Trainer will join the studio team of a major Tier-1 supplier and work with local staff to pass on knowledge about realising animations and short movies. Applicants should have knowledge of a range of visualisation and animation software. Knowledge of Flashplayer is essential.

Packaging Engineer - Interiors
Shanghai
Technicon Design currently requires a Packaging engineer to work in Shanghai with a Major Tier-1 supplier. Our client would like to work with a Packaging Engineer who is happy to mentor colleagues whilst achieving project objectives.
Applicants must have at least 5 years experience of working as a Packaging Engineer with a major OEM. This is a contract role for one month initially.

Homologation Manager
Position based in Beijing with frequent travel in Shanghai.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Homologation process planning based on product plan in China. Process CCC Certification and follow up the procedure to ensure completion. Monitor the development of regulations and standards related to homologation requirements. Lobby in order to influence legislation process regarding homologation requirement. Communicate with Europe headquarters to coordinate and comply with existing and new regulation. Establish and maintain the relationship with the authority involved in the homologation issue
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
University degree in engineering or related subject. Automobile product knowledge/experience is preferable. Good oral and written communication skills for both English and Chinese. Advanced communication and presentation skills. Enthusiastic and a good team player. Computer literate and comfortable with technology. Understanding of vehicle operations and systems.
This is a contract role for one year initially. There is a possibility that this will become a permanent role.
