Tokyo Motor Show 2009
![]() Learn about Michelin Challenge Design | The 41st biennial Tokyo Motor Show - notably smaller than past shows held in the Japanese capital - was a chance for the domestic manufacturers to demonstate their continued dedication to the green and sustainable theme. But it also heralded the introduction of a few vehicles that could only be born out of the Japanese environment. While the entire show was roughly the size of the BMW hall at Frankfurt, the Japanese automakers - Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Daihatsu, Subaru and Suzuki - all showcased new concept and production vehicles, including the Deca Deca from Daihatsu, the Hybrid Tourer from Subaru, three new concepts from Honda, the FT-EV II and FT-86 concepts from Toyota and Nissan's Fuga, Leaf and forward-thinking tandem-seat Land Glider concept. |
