Reef
Christoph Ducreux
One of the probable consequences of global warming will be the raise of sea levels, which will lead to the submersion of certain lands. Nine billion people may therefore have to resolve to live on water. Combining urbanism and mobility, Reef is a network combination of habitable floating cells, each of which can host a transportation module. The module can move the habitable cell, but it also becomes an annex of the house. According to the need of the moment, it can be adapted to different uses, sometimes a vehicle, sometimes a living space based on convenience and user-friendliness.
Cares
Damien Vilela
An object of passion and a symbol of consuming freedom, the automobile is the victim of its own success. Traffic congestion, air pollution, sound and visual nuisances make it difficult for the driver to take the right decisions on the road. Given their busy life and traffic conditions on the roads, some drivers have violent behaviour on the road. 'Cares' proposes, to its occupants, a harmonious and soothing journey, that will lead to the driver being more at ease with his own decision making, creates a more and more important space in their daily lives, compensating for stressful moments. The organic form of the vehicle is inspired by the human body, the sides of the vehicle embracing and protecting the central passenger space.
Sea'In
Raphael Dana
The unknown, mystery, domination and self-excelling: these are the great ideas that have led man to explore his environment, from the earth and the oceans to the moon. If industrialised tourism fuels itself with our need of exoticism, preserving our need of security, it does not allow us wilder and more astonishing experiences, which push our limits further. Sea'In, both a touristic complex and personal under-water transportation means, aims to revive the thrill of exploration, allowing us to dive under-water with eyes wide open.
More
Vikenty Gryaznov
This project looks at the emergence of new social and professional classes in Eastern Europe, among them, 'Executive Women'. 'More' (the sea in Russian) is an interior concept designed referring to feminine codes from lingerie and luggage. Everything has been considered to make active women's family and professional lives easier. The seats are mounted on rails in the roof, allowing for pre-saved interior configurations to be selected by a remote control.
Stalker
Kevin Judlin
In the 22nd century, the Earth has become a 'technogarden'. Humanity is gathered in gigantic green megalopolises, in which technology is everywhere implemented for the inhabitants' security. Great wild spaces still exist but they are superprotected. In this technical and ultracivilised democracy, there is little place for adventure and change of scenery. This can only happen in highly respectful conditions. Kevin's project was based around this disturbing yet probable scenario, and developed the means to reach those extreme and protected places to live a new experience. Thanks to a habitable nacelle, removable from an airship, people can discover the frozen spaces of the polar Baffin region in complete symbiosis.
Taxi Tori
Claire Bourguignon
According to the situation, automobiles can have either a public or private status. And if one vehicle confronts both of these, it is the taxi. As a means of transport and work space for its owner, it is also an isolation place for the client, or a public space when several people share it. Taxi Tori permits the various lifestyles of its occupants to cohabit, meeting their different needs and requests, whether public or private.
