Renault BAG (Buy_Assemble_Go)
Ju-yeon Jang

The Renault BAG concept is a single-seat roadster which can be assembled by the individuals that purchase them. Inspired by the Plat Chair by Sara Paculdo, where the form becomes a chair when the surface is folded, the concept's structure is formed by the bending of two surfaces. As the buyer is wholly involved in the build process, the costs are kept low.

CHIMERA
Ju-young Kim

Taking inspiration form human organs and the Chimera from Greek mythology, this asymmetrically-designed concept was developed in three phases. It can be made to seat two people in a lightweight body consisting of little more than a bone frame; or it can be made into a three seat vehicle or a single seater housing a computer module or a battery pack. The asymmetrical exterior is an organic shape, underlying the project's inspiration, while man made ‘muscles' that act as suspension components can contracted and relax in response to electrical stimulation.

Fluxism
Ran-jeong
Park

The Fluxism concept is a cross between a van and a roadster. With flowing asymmetrical forms, Park's aim was to create a vehicle which integrated the smooth exterior shape with the soft, flexible materials of the interior. The concept's form language was inspired by twisting forms, the hole caused by this twist and the unique formation which is combined with those two great combinations. The main line was created first, and the other lines and surfaces stem from that original line. Park sought to shift away from the idea that a roadster should be a vehicle designed to accommodate only two passengers. Devoid of a roof, the Fluxism concept offers the freedom of open air motoring for many passengers.

Serenity
Sang-hun Kim

The Serenity concept is a two-seat roadster for future. Largely inspired by chiseled, refined forms that blend design and art, the concept is simple and neat but also delicate and elaborate. The glazed roof sweeps over thin body which raises as it flows to the rear, culminating in a sharp point. Kim's goal was to play on the emotive feeling of vehicles, but also to utilize ‘White Porcelain' ceramic as created by Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

BLOSSOM _ Blooming on the road
Seul-gi Lee

The Blossom concept focuses on the interior design of four-seat luxury sedan built atop GM's autonomous ‘skateboard' platform. Another asymmetrical form, the four seats are made to resemble a flower blooming; a touch of nature in a car. The design aims to enable people living in busy cities to take a reprieve from their hectic lives and refresh and delight in the beauty of nature. Inspired by nature, the concept hones in on the petals of a flower and its characteristics. Each of the four seats has been designed to be individual, featuring a net structure with a bio recognition system.

Concept. ‘W'
Si-nae Jung

Inspired by origami and the pin wheel, paper that is easily moved by the wind, the ‘W' concept's dynamic shape communicates with the driver and passerby. Jung contends that sight is the most important among the five senses and that it could be a method of communication between both ‘driver to car' and ‘car to people'. Remembering that automobiles were created to drive through the wind and enjoy it, Jung was able to conclude that the roadster is the most suitable segment for the automotive 'pin wheel'.

SR concept
Won-geun Song

The SR is a compact SUV concept built for the independent career woman who leads the new generations. Passing the male dominant society, a newly defined woman who possesses the harmony, tenderness and strength will represent the new social identity. The motivation of the SR Concept's design came from a woman lying in a hammock. The line that flows elegantly throughout the whole body represents the hammock's line, and the windshield and hood design was inspired by neck line of woman's formal suit.

Lexus / Twine-Finess
Yong-won Lee

Lexus Twine-Finess is a one-seat roadster composed of frame exterior and string interior. Because of preexisting surfaces, a vehicle could only visualize volume and tension in its 3-D form. The aim for this project is to visualize 4D forms through the connection of concentrated 2D strings. Although the surfaces created by the strings do not exist physically, they do visually. This creates metaphysical tension - the fourth dimension. By visualizing the surface of the interior through flexible (polyestomer) strings, the driver is able to feel the tension of the ground through the delicate vibration of the strings.

Honda Cocoon
Jae Sik Gil

Honda Cocoon by Jae Sik Gil is a personal mobility vehicle inspired by cocoons and computer graphics.  The overall design aesthetic is taken from polygons, and related to the way these are stored and manipulated within computers, while the mathematical model for creating curves has also been employed in the 2:1 scale model Gil created. Measuring 2350mm long, 2150mm high and 1700mm wide at the base, the single passenger vehicle features a caterpillar-like track and titanium skiis at the front.
