In this exclusive Car Design Dialogues film, Robin Page and his team provide an in-depth look at the new Volvo C40 Recharge. Every part of the vehicle is covered, from the thinking behind the grill, which sets out Volvo’s ambition to be all EV by 2030, along with how they incorporated themes of the natural landscape with a backlit dashboard display that recalled the topography of a national park.
Page also explains that moving to electric vehicles is crucial to the realisation of Volvo’s interior design ambitions. “Electrification offers us the chance to really open up the space and deliver the proper Scandinavian living room, which is what we’ve always wanted to do,” he says.
