Car Design Event to return for 2025 with UI/UX theme
The Munich-based Car Design Event is set to bring leading brands, designers and media together for its third year
The Car Design Event (CDE) returns to Munich from 5-8 May 2025, promising a packed programme of global brand debuts, prototype unveilings and creative insight from across the mobility design landscape.
Now in its third year, the event has quickly become a fixture in the European automotive calendar – a springboard into the summer of design-led showcases.
Held once again at the Drivers & Business Club, CDE 2025 will welcome more than 100 members of the media and influencers, with presentations from over 15 auto brands.
This year’s focus is on UI/UX design, with leading designers and technologists exploring the future of user experience in mobility.
Confirmed participants include Bertone, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Genesis, Hyundai, Kia, Lamborghini, Pagani, Pininfarina and VW.
Among the highlights will be a European debut from a new American EV company, plus the return of a cult automotive brand with a new design model. Dutch superyacht specialist Feadship will also unveil a project at the event.
Full details of debuts will be revealed on 5 May.
Car Design News is proud to be a media partner for this event, with editor James McLachlan hosting the event’s official talks programme.
“CDE was established to provide a new platform for the celebration of automotive design as the world around us shifts and the demise of key events changes the auto calendar,” said CDE co-founder Jens Meiners.
Co-founder Des Sellmeijer added: “We are bringing in pioneers and innovators from across this space to share visions for the future and to inspire the next generation of automotive and mobility designs.”
