Geneva 2016: Ferrari GTC4 Lusso’s dual cockpit allows passengers to join in the fun
Co-driver feature spreads touchscreen across the cabin
The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso is rather more than the FF facelift we anticipated. All exterior panels and glazing are different and there’s a new interior too.

In the five years since the charismatic shooting brake was launched, the world of HMI has taken massive strides. And so design director Flavio Manzoni and his team faced a challenge: “How do we incorporate a 10.25-inch touchscreen in a Ferrari interior, without diluting the brand?”
The solution is to split the cabin into two zones – one for driver and the other for the passenger – with each linked by the new touchscreen.

On the passenger side of the IP a slim touchscreen displays speed, revs and G-forces, as in the simpler system in the F12 but it now allows those not behind the wheel to control things such as music and navigation.
The system in the show car was in a demo mode so we’re yet to experience how it all works, but it’s an interesting conundrum that many face – how to offer the latest tech without giving up core values.
