Tokyo 2015: The Daihatsu Tempo is our kind of food truck
Japanese kei-van puts on a show
Think food truck, and it’s probably one of the kogi-wagons that rock up on the streets of LA or the almost ubiquitous Citroen H-van serving coffee and crepes in a corner of a European festival.

But Daihatsu showed a sweet food kei-van in the Tempo – painted in a charming shade of ginger, with asymmetric graphics.

Best of all, demoing its range of food and beverages is a beret-wearing, juggling, miming but otherwise silent Japanese guy.

The culmination of the show is him picking a female member of the audience to present a cup of coffee and a tulip to. To watch the show, you simply can’t help but smile.
