Rolls-Royce Spectre Inspired by Primavera revealed

As an exploration of Spring through a series of bespoke vehicles, Rolls-Royce has presented Spectre Inspired by Primavera.

This series includes three different expressions – Evanescent, Reverie and Blossom — with each offering a different interpretation of the seasons, mainly via the exterior and interior colourways.

On the exterior of each of the expressions, a hand-painted coachline cherry blossom branch in bloom is the primary motif, alongside 23-inch alloy wheels which also depict a flower in bloom.

The blossom continues on the inside, with silhouette-based stitching on the headrests and a cherry bough motif etched on the centre console. This particular motif was achieved by experimenting with 37 different laser densities to create the desired contrast against the wooden surface.

Škoda Vision O – first look inside

A teaser video for the Škoda Vision O shows a minimalistic cabin that prioritises clean lines and simple shapes throughout.

3D printed headrests add a layer of uniqueness, and “plant-based and compostable components” are utilised, although no further detail has been given to what these materials are.

Head of Škoda design Oliver Stefani commented: “The combination of clean lines and intuitive functionality reflect our efforts to create a harmonious and functional interior.

It features materials and design elements that are not only aesthetically an evolution of our Modern Solid design language but also emphasise environmental responsibility.”

The concept will be unveiled in September in Munich.

New generation of the Volkswagen T-Roc

The second generation of the T-Roc has been “developed from scratch”, with the interior sporting a newly designed cockpit, background lighting and a (up to) 33cm infotainment screen.

The dash panel is upholstered in a “newly developed fabric” to create a lounge-like atmosphere, with the vehicle taking cues from the larger Tiguan and Tayron models –such as the driving experience controls.

The vehicle retains the T-Roc DNA, with a coupé-like rear, but this new generation is 12cm longer – making space for up to five passengers.

The market launch is scheduled for November.
