The MG Cyber GTS is debuting at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where MG is honored as the ‘celebrated marque’ of this year’s event.
The 15-year long journey towards MG rediscovering its MG-ness has taken another leap forward with the reveal of Cyber GTS – a hardtop version of the EV roadster launched earlier in 2024.
It is a logical step: coupes tend to outsell soft tops handsomely, but forget about the wisdom of the marketing strategy, this is a car that plays to the emotions. Wisely, the design team, represented at the reveal by incoming design director Josef Kaban and head of the advanced studio in London Carl Gotham, have left the front three-quarters of the car well enough alone. Instead, the focus has been on creating a muscular GT, that slouches into its back wheels a way that conveys effortless power. “It’s is very relaxed and confident,” says Kaban.
Before we get too carried away, this is a working concept, not a production car, but it will be taking on the Goodwood hill. CDN will keep you posted, but for now enjoy the pics.
