Aurelien Doisy appointed head of design Europe at Tata Motors
Changes to Tata’s design team are on-going, with Aurelien Doisy taking a new role as head of design Europe
Aurelien Doisy is the new head of design Europe at Tata Motors overseeing all projects at the two design studios in Coventry, UK and in Turin, Italy.
Doisy’s promotion follows hot on the heels of changes at the top, with Martin Uhlarik recently taking over from Pratap Bose as the global design head.
”I am very excited by the design direction that Aurelien will lead the teams into,” said Uhlarik. “He has fantastic design instincts and combined with his experience, intelligence and good taste, the future of Tata Design will step forward to the next level.”
A graduate of Strate, School of Design in Paris, Doisy held various positions for almost a decade at General Motors where he worked across several different brands under the GM umbrella, before joining Tata Motors in 2013. He has since led the interior design team in the UK studio, developing a number of production and concept cars including by the Tata eVision, Tata H2X and the Tata Sierra concepts. He has also worked on the design of Tata’s human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
