A new era for CDN
Introducing the new Car Design News membership
Car Design News is moving beyond the traditional subscription model, creating more opportunities for the global design community to meet, exchange ideas and learn from one another
For more than 25 years, Car Design News has been at the heart of the global automotive design community, providing the journalism, insight and analysis that designers and design leaders rely on. But the way that community works is changing – and CDN is changing with it.
That is why we are moving from a traditional subscription model to membership. You can find out more here.
A subscription is fundamentally about access to content. Membership is about something broader: access to ideas, people, experiences and a professional community. Our journalism remains at the centre of what we do, but we want CDN to play a more active role in connecting the people shaping automotive design.
Great design begins in the studio, but it rarely develops in isolation. It is strengthened through conversation, collaboration and shared experience, whether that means exchanging ideas with peers, encountering a different perspective or making a connection that leads to something new.
Our evolved membership reflects that.
Because the value of CDN is no longer simply in what you can read. It is also in who you can meet, what you can learn from them and the conversations you can become part of and help shape. We, the CDN team, hope you come with us on this exciting next chapter
Members will continue to receive unlimited access to CDN’s industry-leading journalism, analysis and exclusive interviews, keeping design teams informed about the people, products and ideas influencing the profession. But membership now extends beyond the screen.
Central to this is the Car Design Dialogues series, which brings design leaders, emerging talent and industry experts together from across the world to discuss the most important questions facing the profession.
These events are designed not simply as conferences, but as places for genuine exchange: opportunities to debate ideas, learn from peers and build lasting relationships across the industry.
Membership also includes access to the CDN People Awards, our annual celebration of the individuals and teams pushing automotive design forward. As well as recognising achievement across the profession, the awards provide something increasingly valuable: an opportunity for the international design community to come together, reconnect and celebrate its work.
The shift from subscription to membership therefore represents a broader evolution of Car Design News itself. We remain an independent source of specialist automotive design journalism, but our ambition is to create a platform that connects the industry throughout the year: editorially, digitally and in person.
Because the value of CDN is no longer simply in what you can read. It is also in who you can meet, what you can learn from them and the conversations you can become part of and help shape. We, the CDN team, hope you come with us on this exciting next chapter.
