Klaus Busse and Arnault Gournac to jointly head up new creative agency formed to collaborate with global partners on brand and design projects
Stellantis has launched a creative agency headed up by Klaus Busse and Arnault Gournac that will provide design services across transportation, industrial, manufacturing and tertiary businesses. Stellantis Design Studio will expand upon the design work and research carried out by the Peugeot Design Lab and apply it to a broad range of brands within the group including Maserati, Jeep, DS Automobiles, and Lancia.
Busse currently oversees Maserati, Jeep in Europe and now Stellantis Design Studio as head of design. The designer, who until recently also oversaw Fiat and Alfa Romeo, will lead the strategic development of the studio, applying it to the company’s various brands.
Gournac, director of Peugeot Design Lab and Cycles Peugeot, will join the Stellantis studio as creative director. The new studio will capitalise on the Peugeot Design Lab’s nine years of experience and collaborations with Airbus Helicopter, Alstom, Bombardier, Bénéteau Groupe, Zodiac, Haier Group, the F.I.A. Whirlpool, Gillardeau Oysters and Pleyel.
“Looking back on our brand portfolio, Stellantis designers have created some of the most exciting and visually appealing vehicles in automotive history,” said Gournac. “We plan to take that creative energy and offer our key competencies to our global external partners to help them take their brand and design projects to the next level. We will work to expand our reach by fostering new partnerships with global clients from all horizons.”
