Detroit 2016: EyesOn Design announces best in show winners
Buick wins best concept, Lexus takes best production car at NAIAS at EyesOn Design 2016
The traditional end to the press days at Detroit sees the EyesOn Design awards handed out to the event’s best in show. The top production and concept cars on display are selected by a panel of judges made up of current and former top designers, and heads of design schools.
This year, the jury selected the Buick Avista as the best concept car at the show. The award marks the second year in a row that the firm has taken the honours in this category, as the Avenir won last year’s vote.

The production car of the year went to the Lexus design team for the LC 500. One of the true surprises of the show, the coupe also took the award for best interior.
Other cars to be awarded included the Volvo S90 for best HMI, the Chrysler Pacifica for best production truck, and the Acura Precision for best colour, graphics and materials.
