"We have had a long history of supporting education throughout our almost 100-year lineage.

"Right now we are expanding globally with some new university relationships to be able to have them select the best of the best from their ranks so that we can then award them for the purposes of watching their careers — and hopefully being able to keep them inspired to achieve more and greater.

"So it's an important part of the Automotive Hall of Fame's mission to support and partner with educational institutions across the globe. We need to be the inspiration for the global industry to improve our awarding, be able to tell the stories that are not only happening in past decades, but in the present and the future as well.

"The industry is moving so fast and there's so many changes, especially along the lines of technology. We need to keep the industry abreast of what those achievements are so that the workforce can be inspired for greater heights. We really take that very seriously and the companies that partner with us understand that mission."
