Car Design round-up: Reveals from Brussels Motor Show & people moves
Car Design News looks at some news snippets including the latest updates from the Brussels Motor Show (full report to come on that) plus some people moves
Mazda CX-6e unveiled at Brussels Motor Show
Bastions of large displacement fossil-fuel engines, Mazda has been steadily electrifying its range. The latest is the CX-6e which has a sleek and low profile with flowing lines and illuminated grille.
There are seven exterior colours available and, inside, three colour variations – Warm Beige, Black Maztex in Takumi models or a two-tone Amethyst and White Maztex in the Takumi Plus.
The interior also features a 26-inch touchscreen with a customisable dual-split layout, as well as a large head-up display with gesture control.

Kia reveals EV2
Also revealed at the Brussels Motor Show was the Kia EV2, an electric SUV.
The EV2 leans on upright cues to emphasise the confidence of its SUV stance, measuring around four metres long. Vertical daytime running lines, a pronounced shoulder line and robust wheel arches are among the key exterior design choices.
Inside, a wraparound dashboard surrounds occupants, with a 12.3-inch driver cluster, 5.3-inch climate control screen and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen display. Ambient lighting is also utilised effectively throughout.

Zeekr 7GT
Zeekr also presented a new EV at Brussels: the 7GT.
While the exterior appears sleek and muscular, most of the focus has been placed on the driving experience and therefore the interior.
A sizeable 35.5-inch head-up display is the focal point, alongside a 13-inch instrument cluster that presents essential information. The three-spoke sports steering wheel features tactile buttons, while quilted black (or a choice of black and white) complete the interior.
