Shinichiro Irie unpicks Nissan’s sports car heritage, ‘Z-ness’, and provides detail on the Z Proto

When Nissan took the wraps of the Z Proto in September 2020, Alfonso Albaisa, the company’s senior vice president for global design, took the online audience on a whistle-stop journey covering the main design details. He drew our attention to the bulging bonnet, the lighting signature, and the inside colour scheme. 

Shinichiro Irie, program design director of the Z Proto, provides some more detail on the model in this Q&A (originally posted on the Nissan website).
