CDN Podcast Ep 15 featuring Sandra Höner Zu Bentrup, Mazda

Sandra Höner Zu Bentrup, Mazda 2

Mazda senior designer Sandra Höner Zu Bentrup talks about sustainability, the interior as a living space concept, and the role of screens

”When I started the main focus [of design] was the exterior. Interior and colour and trim was a side thought. This has definitely changed in the last few years – the interior has got a lot more important.”

After studying product design and material science at university, Sandra Höner Zu Bentrup joined Mazda where she has spent the past ten years progressing to become a senior designer. Speaking to Car Design News deputy editor Michael Nash, she describes the change that she has witnessed across the period, and examines the current trends that are impacting on interior design.
