Guy Bird is a London-based freelance writer, editor and consultant specialising in cars and design. He has written for Car Design News for more than a decade and also for a wide variety of global magazines, websites and books, including CAR, Wallpaper* and the Car Design Review yearbook. He regularly interviews senior car designers at the world’s major auto shows from Paris to Tokyo and has road-tested the vast majority of vehicles available in the UK (and beyond) since the mid-90s. Beyond cars and car design he also enjoys writing about product design, art, aircraft and music and sits on several judging panels, most notably the UK Car of the Year awards.
