Lighting has been revolutionized by the LED - their small size and low energy consumption gives designers a whole new palette of light and colors not previously possible. They are design elements in themselves, and they allow the ambience of an interior to fuse customization with sensing technology. This will be the topic of CDN's second webinar, ‘Visualization, Illumination and Sensing: Designing Next Generation Automotive Interiors with LEDs'.

Set to take place on Wednesday, 17 February at 14.30 GMT, the second CDN webinar is to be presented by Michael Godwin, Director for Visible LEDs at Osram Opto Semiconductors. The company has supplied LED interior lighting solutions for the Mustang under Ford's MyColor interior-changing illumination offering as well as developed the white LED interior for Lincoln. (Registration for this event is NOW CLOSED).

If you haven't already done so, we remind you that there's still time to register for our first webinar coming this Wednesday, 27 January at 15:00 GMT. Covering virtual design and the visualization of materials and textures, it will be given by Michele Hess and Marian Johannes Endres of RTT. (Registration for this event is NOW CLOSED).

Our third webinar covering the application of Dinamica materials on seating areas and roof/door panels - as well as on steering wheels, gear shifts and parking brakes - will be presented on 31 March at 15:00 GMT. The webinar will be presented by Miko and is entitled: 'Driving the Green Way: the First Ecological microfiber for Automotive interiors'. (Registration for this event is NOW CLOSED).

Each of the webinars is sponsored, and specialists from the sponsoring company will make or lead them. They will be archived, and can be accessed after the event (allowing a day or so for production) on CDN.
