Autodesk SketchBook Pro is a powerful, easy-to-use digital sketching tool; a blank canvas with all the tools you might use in an analog marker rendering in one mess-free package.
Autodesk SketchBook Pro can be used in any stage of the design process, allowing the designer to leverage the strengths of digital sketching. From napkin sketch to final presentation renderings, SketchBook is the toolkit that allows you to unleash your creativity. The webinar demonstrated sketching workflows, tips and tricks for rapid concept development and refinement.
The webinar focused on:
- Brief Interface Overview
- Ideation Sketching
- Refining with Layers
- Custom Brushes and Libraries
- Quick Coloring and Wheel Workflows
This was part of the 2013 series of Autodesk webinars that includes:
- What is new in Autodesk Alias v2014
- Real Class A in Alias - helping accelerate design development
- Concept modeling for automotive
- Using the T-rig tool in real life
Autodesk's Kyle Runciman presented the webinar. Runciman joined the Alias team as a design intern shortly after earning a degree of Industrial Design from Carleton University. Kyle joined the SketchBook team in early 2008 and is now the domain expert for the SketchBook product line.
He also runs a concept/illustration business, Runciman Concepts, out of his Toronto studio, producing imagery for clients in the product, automotive and medical industries. A passion for cars was developed at an early age, and Runciman hasn't been able to stop drawing them since.
